Welcome from the NAPSC Board
Dear NAPSC Racers, Guests And Sponsors,
The 22nd Annual race week was a great success. We had an incredible week of competition, camaraderie, and charity. Again we thank our sponsors. Without them, this event would not exist.
We again raised big dollars for our charities. Over $23,054 was raised for the Winter Sports Programs of Special Olympics. This puts us at over $708,000 for a period of 19 years. We also raised over $3,000 for the Twin Towers Initiative which benefits the new law enforcement officer’s museum being built in Washington, DC. That puts us over $50,000 in just a few short years, and our fundraising for TTI continues this year because it is the 10th anniversary of the attacks on the United States on 9-11-01. The replica Twin Towers will be delivered to the museum at the conclusion of the 9-11 Blue Valor Ride on May 12, 2011. This ride honors the memory of the 72 Police Officers lost on 9-11-01.
The 22nd event had many extras this year including an event called Wild Women On Wine in Snowmass, yoga instructors, and massages. We are excited to announce that the 23rd annual NAPSC event will take place in COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO February 25-March 3, 2012. We have had many great years in Snowmass, but we believe that a change in venue was necessary to help our event. We will miss all our great friends in Snowmass.
Our race format will again include the GS, slalom, and super G with the change we made this year. Guest racers will seed after police officers, and they will have the opportunity to run the same courses that the officers run throughout the week. We also reduced the number of race courses to 3, BUT, we still gave awards to 4 divisions, A,B,C,D. A being the highest level
Lodging information for Copper will be available on the website soon. There will be a code for NAPSC when making reservations. We think you will find quite a variety of lodging available for your needs in the village area of Copper.
Please again assist us in our event efforts by bringing giveaway items and auction items. If you have a company that can provide product samples, you can have them shipped to Ben Caperton at his address in the contact section of the website. If you bring in a $1500 sponsor, your entry is comped.
If you do not race, you can still join us for a great week of skiing, snowshoeing, and an opportunity to network with officers and guests from around the world.
So until registration on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Copper Mountain Conference Center, Stay safe, Stay well. See you on the slopes in 2012!
Sincerely,
Your NAPSC Board of Directors
